Wet electrostatic enamel coating is one of the enamel coating methods. The uniformity and flatness of the coating completed by this method are very good, which is not inferior to the effect of electrostatic dry powder coating. It has a wider variety and adaptability of enamel glaze, and is especially suitable for enamel products that require various colors and beautiful appearance, such as architectural decorative enamel panels, oven enamel panels, cabinets, stove panels, washing machine shells, etc. In recent years, Since then, heat exchange enamel components have also gradually adopted this enamel coating method.

During wet electrostatic coating, charged particles can deposit on the object to be coated if the object is grounded as it leaves the gun. Organic coatings generally have higher electrical resistance and thus achieve better deposition efficiency. And the enamel glaze paste, especially the water-containing system with high electrical conductivity, even if the voltage reaches about 80kV, its deposition efficiency is quite low. In order to improve the spraying efficiency of coatings, it is necessary to strictly control various variables that affect deposition, such as humidity and temperature in the spray booth, and establish a good overspray recovery system. The overall electrostatic wet spraying system includes spray gun, trigger control system, feeding tank, static electricity generating device, pipeline system, elevator, spray booth and recovery system, and an insulating grille can be hung behind the workpiece to be sprayed to prevent overspray.

Electrostatic spraying must first generate a softly atomized spray width, so the atomization design of the spray gun is very critical. In recent years, the development of electrostatic spray guns has achieved atomization at lower pressures. Secondly, the glaze needs to be fully charged with static electricity to be more efficiently adsorbed on the workpiece. It is necessary to provide a high enough voltage from the static electricity generating device and to adopt the most suitable charging method so that the glaze can be truly charged with static electricity. Since the glaze is water-based, it is easy to cause harm to people after being charged, so the electrostatic spraying system needs to be equipped with a safety interlock control device. Due to the very detailed atomization of electrostatic wet spraying, the water loss during spraying is fast, and the humidity needs to be replenished in time. Therefore, it is best to be equipped with a humidity control system in the overall design. In order to facilitate the electrostatic charging of the glaze, the particle size of the glaze slurry is usually required to be finer. When the workpiece is more complex, it is necessary to add a manual supplementary spraying station before the electrostatic automatic spraying.
