Enamel milling additives are one of the important factors affecting the performance of enamel. If the type or amount of additives added is wrong, it is likely to cause corresponding enamel defects. 1. water

Water in wet grinding is indispensable, and the general dosage is between 40-75. The cover coat and transparent coat is between 40-45 (because of the small number of abrasives), the ground coat is between 60-75 and the number of abrasives is large, and the direct on enamel is between 45-60.

2. Clay

Suspended material, the main components are SiO2, Al₂O₃. When Al₂O₃ is more than 36%, the suspension performance is better. Clay not only acts as the main suspending agent, but also can enhance the tensile performance of enamel and the mechanical strength of powder layer. The general dosage is between 5-8%. Use less in hot weather and more in winter. Too much will affect the luster of the porcelain surface, heat resistance, and it is difficult to burn through.

3 Bentonite

Auxiliary suspending material, when the clay suspending can not achieve the ideal effect, it can be improved by adding bentonite appropriately. The general dosage is 0.2-1%. Excessively affect the porcelain surface, luster.

4. Borax

Borax has a wetting effect on the steel plate and enhances the mechanical strength of the powder layer (the powder cannot be easily dropped after being picked up). The general dosage is 0.2-0.4%, too much porcelain surface will boil.

5. Sodium nitrite

Sodium nitrite prevents rust spots, pitting spots, pull wires, and shrinkage defects during drying of powder layer, and has the effect of enhancing suspension retention. The general dosage is between 0.2-0.5%, too much will affect the porcelain surface, luster, and boiling.

6. Urea

Increase the enamel tension to overcome shrinkage and enamel defects. It can also enhance the mechanical strength of powder layer. The dosage is 0.5-0.8%. Too much used will cause porcelain surface has poor glossy. It is not used in the ground coat, and it is rarely used in the direct on enamel, it is mostly used in the titanium cover coat and matte enamel.
