On September 4th, a well-known customer of cast iron products came to Nolifrit R&D Center to personally participate in the process of casting iron enamel proofing and learn enamel technology and related knowledge.

Enamel is a smooth surface and corrosion-resistant porcelain layer. It is often used to protect and beautify cast iron products, so that the surface of cast iron enamel can achieve acid resistance, rust resistance, and easy cleaning. However, the enamel process has certain requirements for products, technology, and equipment. For companies that have just entered the industry, it often feels like they have no idea where to start. In order to solve this problem, customers of cast iron products chose to visit Nolifrit R&D Center to study.

After detailed communication with the customer, Nolifrit recommended primary enamel pre-ground powder to the customer. This is an enamel product specially customized for customers. The pre-ground powder has fine particles and high stability, and can effectively produce good adhesion with cast iron products. The one-time enamel pre-grinding process is simple, and it can be used only by adding water and stirring. On the one hand, it saves the enamel process and lowers the operating threshold. On the other hand, it also reduces the occurrence of enamel defects and improves the quality and service life of cast iron enamel.

First of all, the customer visited a series of enamel samples and learned about the types, advantages and practical applications of enamel in various fields. The dazzling array of samples was an eye-opener. Later, under the guidance of professionals, the customer saw enamel products such as enamel bottom glaze, enamel top glaze, pre-ground powder, etc., and had a certain understanding of the performance of the product. Finally, I personally participated in the enamel proofing process of my own cast iron products, such as metal pretreatment (burning oil sandblasting), preparation of pre-ground powder glaze slurry, grouting (enameling), drying, firing and other process links.

The customer said that this visit and study has great reference significance for their production process, and will apply this new technology in the future production process to improve product competitiveness and market share.
