There are many enamel processes, which are interlocking. When enamel manufacturers produce high-quality enamel products, once a certain link makes a mistake, it will affect the whole body and cause defects in enamel products. Therefore, each process must follow the established procedures. As an enamel manufacturer, it is necessary to be familiar with various technological processes, inspection methods and standards in order to make high-quality enamel products.

The technological process of enamel can be mainly divided into four categories: melting and blending of enamel, enamel metal billet, enamel coating and firing process, and decorative products. 

1. Preparation of Enamel frit

Now, there are specialized enamel suppliers to provide enamel, and some manufacturers can also provide special enamel formulas according to the requirements and characteristics of enamel factory products. There are many kinds of enamel frit, including ground coat frit, cover coat frit, direct-on frit, pre-ground enamel powder and electrostatic enamel powder, etc. The enamel preparation process is mainly divided into two parts: batching and melting.

2. Enamel metal substrate

First of all, it is necessary to select a suitable metal base material, select the chemical composition, mechanical properties, grain size, surface structure, specifications and varieties of the metal, and then carry out blank design, punching and bending, deep drawing, and forming. Before smelting, it is necessary to do a good job of metal pretreatment.

3. Enameling and firing

The process of evenly coating the enamel on the green body is called enamelling. The common enamelling methods include manual enamelling, mechanical enamelling, electrophoresis and electrostatic enamelling. The frit needs to be prepared into enamel slurry before enamelling.

The dried powder body is put into the firing furnace, and under the predetermined enamel firing process conditions, the dry layer is melted, the ground coat is adhered to the metal body, and the cover coat is combined with the ground coat enamel layer to produce opacity, luster and color, to achieve the proper physical and chemical properties, this process is called firing. Firing is one of the most important links in the enamel process.

4. Decoration

The decoration of enamel products is mostly used for daily-use enamel. It is a flower product made through art reprocessing. The process includes: enamel plain product-decoration-firing- decal products. Common decoration methods include: spraying flowers, decals, printing, sun-dried flowers, engraved flowers, painted, gold-painted and other methods.
